The Electric Link. January 2026 Edition
Welcome to the January 2026 Edition of The Electric Link.
A new year sets the pace for what comes next. For Southwest Industrial Electric we will focus on preparation, outreach, and momentum. Our teams enter 2026 with active projects, growing partnerships, and new events.
Upcoming Events. Industry Connections to Start the Year

Southwest Industrial Electric begins the year focused on building relationships and carrying momentum from last year’s success. We’re partnering with contractors, developers, and facility teams across Southern California to support early planning and project execution.
What you can expect this quarter:
• Conversations around upcoming industrial and commercial developments
• Early planning for power distribution, EV infrastructure, and service upgrades
• Coordination support during preconstruction and budgeting phases
If you’re mapping out projects for 2026, now is the right time to connect with our team.
Project Spotlight. New Facility Power Buildout

Southwest Industrial Electric is supporting Eighth Day Sound with a full electrical power install for a new facility, delivering the engineering, permitting, and infrastructure needed to power day-to-day operations and future growth.
Project Overview
Project: Install Power in New Facility
Scope Summary
This project included a full site survey, engineering support, and a complete power distribution buildout throughout the facility. Work included tapping the existing main service, installing transformers and protective disconnects, adding new panels, and distributing power to key operational areas across the warehouse. The end result is a clean, scalable electrical foundation built for performance, safety, and long-term expansion.
This Date in Electrical History. January and the Birth of Practical Electricity

In January 1800, Alessandro Volta introduced the first true electric battery, the voltaic pile. This invention produced continuous electrical current for the first time.
Before this moment, electricity existed as isolated experiments. Volta’s work changed science into application. Continuous current allowed researchers and engineers to measure, test, and build systems that formed the foundation of modern electrical engineering.
Every powered facility today traces back to this breakthrough.
Southwest Industrial Electric’s Quarterly Photo Contest
Southwest Industrial Electric’s Quarterly Photo Contest is our way of recognizing the craftsmanship happening across our jobsites every day. Foremen and PMs submit standout field photos throughout the quarter, and winners are selected based on quality, execution, jobsite safety, and full adherence to SIE and code standards. Congratulations to this quarter’s winning submissions, MGM Transformers and Fortna (Amazon). Thank you for continuing to represent SIE with pride and professionalism in the field.
Winners:
MGM Transformers: Foreman Juan M., PM Bruce

Fortna – Amazon: Foreman Adrian P., PM Bruce

Meet the Team
Meet Foreman Adrian Preciado.
This month, we highlight Adrian Preciado, a core member of our production team who plays an important role in delivering excellence on our projects.
What is your position at SIE and what interested you in such work?
I am currently a foreman at SIE. What initially drew my attention to this role was the ability to become better as an electrician and have the ability to run my own projects. Coming from working in the commercial installation field, I wanted to get experience in the industrial field of electrical which has been a smooth transition for me.
What do you enjoy most about your job and working at SIE?
“What I enjoy most about my job at SIE is the opportunity to work as an industrial electrician. Every day brings new challenges to grow and think outside the box. Learning every day is what keeps me motivated and inspired”.
Client Shoutout
“The job ended up being a bit harder than expected, but your technician handled everything perfectly. He managed to work through the issues, and we are very happy with his work.”
