THE ELECTRIC LINK
Southwest Industrial Electric | APRIL 2026
Spring picked up momentum across the industry. April brought steady project movement, strong event visibility, and continued growth in EV infrastructure. Here is a quick look at what stood out.
PROJECT SPOTLIGHT

This month’s project spotlight is centered on a commercial parking lot EV installation, moving from site preparation to final deployment. The project scope included targeted demolition and trenching to accommodate new electrical conduits without disrupting existing operations. Our team installed high-capacity EV chargers and completed the necessary utility connections to ensure the system was fully operational upon completion. Successful execution required precise coordination of surface work and electrical integration to meet the immediate charging needs of the facility.

EVENT RECAP
SoCal Facilities Expo 2026

We had a booth at this year’s expo and connected with facility managers, property teams, and operations leaders across Southern California. Common themes from conversations:
- Growing demand for EV charging across existing properties
- Need for reliable service and fast response times
- Interest in upgrading older systems to handle increased load
Most teams are working with existing infrastructure and looking for ways to scale without disruption. That is where early planning and the right electrical partner matters. If you stopped by the booth, we appreciate the time. If not, we are always open to connecting.
UPCOMING EVENTS
- Bisnow Industrial Construction Events
- Los Angeles Build Expo 2026
- Small Business Construction Expo 2026
If you are attending any of these, let us know. Always open to connecting on site.
THIS MONTH IN ELECTRICAL HISTORY

On April 18, 1906, the San Francisco earthquake disrupted power systems across the city and pushed major improvements in electrical infrastructure and safety standards. That moment helped shape how modern systems are designed with resilience and emergency response in mind.
Meet the Team

What is your position at SIE and what interested you in such work?
My current position in SIE is as an electrician, and my role is to assist in all areas of the physical process of electrical installations. Another large part of my role is to be attentive to learning and growing my skill set so I can become a greater asset to the team and more instrumental in delivering excellent service/results to our customers.
What interests me most about the electrical field is the depth and layer of the subject, both as a trade and occupation and as an intellectual pursuit.
What do you enjoy most about your job and working at SIE?
What I like most about my job is that it challenges me daily. It’s very rewarding to work in an environment where you can see the physical results of your labor, having made paths where there were once obstacles.
